Participants will be selected on a competitive basis and is limited to 40 college faculty.

To be considered for selection, a faculty member must:

  • Teach at an NATEF certified community college
  • Hold an ASE Certification A6, A8 (L1 Certification preferred)
  • Agree to improve their curricula as a result of attending the Advanced Automotive Hybrid/Alternative Fuel Technology Institute
  • Participate in follow-up activities to improve student learning, including an assessment of the workshop conducted by the Miami University Applied Research Institute
  • Participate in five full days of learning

Participants accepted into the workshop will be required to view two 2-hour online webinars.

Those participants that cannot make these sessions will be able to view recordings of the webinars on this website after November 16. All participants will be given access to the website along with the necessary details to engage in the webinars when your application has been accepted.

It is very important that all participants view these webinars before attending the Advanced Automotive Hybrid Technology Institute beginning August 2, 2010. All participants must be well-versed on the safety issues of hybrids along with some of the content that will be covered during the Institute.

Each successful participant will receive a $300 stipend upon completion of the workshop.
