Participation
Participants will be selected on a competitive basis. Participation is limited to 40 college professors.
To be considered for selection, a faculty member must:
- Teach full time in a tenure track position
- Teach at an NATEF Master certified community college
Hold an ASE Master and L1 Certification
- Have a minimum of five years experience teaching automotive technology at the college level, with an emphasis in the electrical, performance and drive train systems
- Agree to improve their curricula as a result of attending the Advanced Automotive Hybrid Technology Summer Institute
- Participate in follow-up activities to improve student learning, including an assessment of the workshop conducted by the Miami University Applied Research Institute
- Participate in five full days of learning
Each successful participant will receive a $500 stipend upon completion of the workshop.
